Another nice thing is that replacement parts are very easy to obtain,like the rubber gasket and overpressure plug. With the thick bottom plate, it wont warp, and the heat is more evenly distributed. This is perfect,attractive ,and very simple to operate, just crank the lid on, pop on the weight, and heat it. As soon as the weight starts bobbling around and hissing, it's quite obvious it's pressure cooking so you turn down the heat.
